BMW brand delivers record 2.21 million vehicles in 2021

BMW said on Wednesday that its brand delivered an all-time high of 2.21 million cars in 2021, representing a 9.1 percent increase over the previous year and that it had more than quadrupled its worldwide sales of fully-electric vehicles in the process.

The BMW Group delivered 2.52 million automobiles in 2018, representing an 8.4 percent increase over the previous year.

According to the automaker, almost a quarter of BMW and Mini vehicles sold in Europe (23 percent) were either hybrids or fully-electric cars, with the figure decreasing to 13 percent on a worldwide scale.
